Hoop Bender Instructions

Mark each 1⅜" top rail (½" or ¾" EMT conduit for low tunnel) pole at 9" starting from the swagged or male end.

Measure end of Hoop Poles

This mark is a reference point for where we begin bending each pole.

Once each pole is marked setup your hoop bender by securely attaching to a table or flat surface using the provided hardware.  Your hoop bender should come with screws or bolts to anchor it in place.

Insert each pole through the slot on the top of the bender up to your mark. Bend the pole every 18".  When you reach the end of the hoop use the included extension pole for added leverage.

Connecting Poles to Form Hoops

When all poles are bend, join the poles by inserting the mail end of a pole into the female end.  Secure each pole together with a  ½" self-tapping screw to complete the hoop for your hoop house.  (Do not to place the screws on the top of the hoop where it would rub against the plastic.)

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
  • Hi l am looking to construct a green house / high tunnel I like your hoop bender I have most of the hoop lumber I need cover ties

Are you looking for paracord to keep your greenhouse plastic down?

  • Can the hoop bender be used to form a complete circle or will it only be able to bend tubing into more of a u shape for green house use?

There is some give on the poles, and you could try and bend them a little past the natural bend of the hoop bender, although I think the circle wouldn't look like a nice around circle, you could get something relatively close to it.   If you do try it though, let us know how it goes, we'd love to know!

  • Hi i have a 40' x 80' green house and part of it collapsed this year and am looking to replace the few bars that got damaged can i make any of these benders work for that size greenhouse

We can only recommend the hoop benders per the size it's made for - ex 12 ft wide bender for 12ft wide greenhouse.   These are adjustable a foot either way, but for what your looking to do, I'm not sure that these will work.  You can make you 'own' bend using the bender, but I don't know how you'd keep it consistent.  If you try, let us know how it goes!
