Shop DIY Hoop Kits at Bootstrap Farmer!

One of our flagship projects as a company was to create DIY Hoop House Style Greenhouse Kits that come with many of the hard-to-find necessary supplies while leaving out the items that could be easily found locally. Because you buy and bend the metal poles at home, using a bit of sweat equity brings down the money out of pocket you need. Unlike our All-Metal Greenhouse kits, these do not qualify for NRCS funding. 

Please be aware that these kits do not include the lumber and conduit poles required for greenhouse construction because we cannot ship those items and still offer the best possible price on a high-quality greenhouse. We recommend purchasing them from your local fencing supply or home improvement store. These kits require the purchase of metal and lumber locally. We’ve provided information below from Lowe’s and Home Depot on their part numbers for those items and their respective prices* (as of 2025). Check out this quick start guide video for a complete overview of the kits.

Each one of our DIY includes:

• Spring Lock Wire (also known as Wiggle Wire) 
• Lock Channel for plastic attachment. 
• 6 mil Greenhouse Plastic - fits entire greenhouse, including end walls
• Ground Post Driver
• Cross Connectors for 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" Arch to Ridge Pole
• Nuts, Bolts, Screws & Connectors for the frame and poles
• Greenhouse Building Instructions

*Lumber and conduit poles/top rail fencing poles are not included*

Build requires a hoop bender - not included for cost savings as many customers buy multiple kits. 

•  4’ & 6' benders for use with 1/2" or 3/4" metal conduit. 
• 10', 12', 16' & 20' benders for use with 1-3/8" top rail.

*Lumber choices may be limited by location. Redwood, cedar, or pressure-treated are the best choices for any structure that will be exposed to moisture.
