    Description:

Fabric grow bags are designed to allow soil aeration for optimum root growth. Unlike clay or plastic, these pots stand up well to heavy harvests - you’ll find yourself using them for years to come. These 7 gallon grow bags will help your plants thrive throughout the year by providing the prime environment for the root system.

7-gallon fabric pots also provide plenty of space by air pruning the roots, which in turn offers water drainage through the soil and roots for sufficient water. They can be put to use in indoor and outdoor settings: hydroponic systems, soil, backyard patios, and even the traveling RV’er who still wishes to keep some plants on the road.

Fabric aeration pots are durable enough to last for multiple seasons of gardening while creating an oxygen-healthy root system for the plant. How, you may ask? It encourages “root pruning” rather than “root circling,” which you get from traditional plastic pots. Root circling causes girdling that restricts water transportation and leads to structural defects. When the roots reach the edge of a traditional pot, they keep looking for more room to grow. With fabric grow pots, when the roots reach the end of the pot, they reach air – this cues the roots to stop growing and direct all their energy up top.

These fabric grow bags will last you multiple seasons under normal conditions.  When not in use, fabric grow bags fold flat for easy storage. Ideal for anyone with limited growing space - because we all deserve to have fresh plants in our life, no matter the lifestyle.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Ask a Question
    • I am looking for a size, ( or two ). larger than this, something approximating an actual 5 gallon bucket. I see 'trade' gallons are not liquid gallons. Is there something larger ?

The 5 gallon (3.74 liquid) gallon bags are all we have for now.  In a few weeks we are getting 7 gallon bags, which are exactly what you'd be looking for!  Hope you will be back with us soon.

    • I'm looking for something like 25 gallon

We currently only have 5, 7 and 100 gallon.  We will be adding 25 Gallon to our collection by mid June 2017.  Thanks!

    • Do I need a tray under the grow bag to protect my deck or the keep the soil moist?

I recommend putting a tray or saucer under your grow bag to hold some water, especially during the hottest parts of the season when you might not be home during the day to water.

    • Do the bags have to be hand washed or can they be washed in a washing machine? Directions?

You can either hand or machine wash the grow bags. If you choose to use the washing machine, I would put them on a gentle cycle with only medium or even cold temperatures.

    • What type of growing medium works best for the 7-gal grow bags? I don’t have plans to supply drip this season so I anticipate water retention will be an issue. I’m wondering then if heavier soil will help or should I stay with potting mix?

You can either use a potting mix or compost. I would recommend adding vermiculite to your mix if your concerned with water retention, as this naturally helps retain moisture. You might need to experiment a little to see what works best in your situation and agricultural zone.

    • Do these need to be washed before using? And do you have washing instructions? Thanks.

These do not need to be washed before use. If you want to wash them, we recommend using warm soapy water and spraying with a dilution of hydrogen peroxide or vinegar and water to disinfect/santize.

    • How much soil do the 9x9x10 plastic planters hold? Can I use those for tomatoes?

You can use these for tomatoes.  Its a very common use case.  They hold just under a half a cubic foot.

    • Approximately how much growing medium/soils is needed per gallon of pot space?

Filling a 1-gallon plant pot takes 3 dry quarts of potting soil.  So you'd need 21 dry quarts for a 7 gallon.

    • I am interested in your colored grow bags. Do they only come in one size, 7 gallons? Also, I see that the multi-color is out of stock. Does that mean that you are out of stock of a 10 pack of 5 different colors, or is there a grow bag that is, itself, multi colored? - When do you think you will be selling the bags in a multi colored pack again?

Hey there, we will be back in stock in just a few weeks!  We only have the 7 gallon in colors.  There are 2 of each color in each 10 pack.

    • where are these made
