  • LED Strip Grow Lights - 48"

Our 48" LED grow lights allow you to daisy chain up to 7 grow lights through a single power cord for seamless expansion of your growing area.  They can be mounted vertically or horizontally to handle different growing environments.

Dedicated hydroponic farmers know that quality grow lighting is essential to any indoor farming operation. It’s of the utmost importance not only that the proper illumination is provided but also that your lights offer the reliability and flexibility that any farmer asks of his tools. We at Bootstrap Farmer are proud to offer a model that can fulfill every one of your lighting needs. This LED Strip Light boasts Cool White, 6400k spectrum light, an extended light time of 50,000 hours, and a NanoTech T5 reflector that promotes vigorous growth by capturing 99.9% of lost light. These incredible strip lights will serve as the powerful, reliable, versatile backbone of your indoor farm for years to come.

At 6400 Kelvin on the light spectrum (also referred to as the blue spectrum), this light is the best for indoor growing as it mimics bright daylight. The scale works in a way that the higher degrees of Kelvin, the whiter the temperature. This color temperature is best used in the seedling stage of plants.

This light also features a Poly Carbonite optically transparent LED protective shield, which is splash & dust resistant. This makes for longer-lasting LEDs as they are protected from whatever elements they may face in your grow room.

In addition to the protective shield, this four-foot light is rated for 50,000 hours... that's 2,083 days!

      QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

      Ask a Question
      • If placing 2 seed trays so as to add up to an approx 42 " length, would 1 48" strip light be sufficient ? If only 1 strip light would be enough for such a set up, at what point would a 2nd strip light be recommended as trays are added to broaden the field depth? Ie., a rectangular field of about 22/ 44/ 66 inches? etc. Thank you!

Yes 1 48" LED light would be sufficient for a 42" setup.  When to add extra grow lights is going to be very dependent on your setup.  The best way will be a bit of trial and error but you just want full light coverage with no shading.

      • what is the CRI color rendering index for the LED Grow Lights - 48" 48W T5 Strip Light ? thank you kindly

The CRI of our LED grow light is over 81.

      • Do the lights remain on 24/7 until harvest or is it 12 hours on, 12 hours off?

Here is a resource that should help you get started: https://www.bootstrapfarmer.com/blogs/microgreens/what-lights-do-i-need-to-grow-microgreens?_pos=3&_sid=23e1a76f6&_ss=r

      • How many square feet does one unit cover in terms of growing lettuce. What is the recommended distance from maturing lettuce plants on a cut and come again lettuce set up?

Growing lettuce is unique for lighting requirements. The lights need to be pretty close to the plant canopy 12" to 18".

The 4 foot LED we have are cool blue white and good starting point for small systems. You need 2 four foot lights to cover a 24” X 48”  (2x4) shelf front and back of the trays. Two lights per self is minimum for successfucoverage of the plants. I usually refer to Farmer Tyler and his lighting videos.

      • How far away from the top of the plants should this light be? I have one light

I find the below very helpful:

      • Are these lights only good for seed starting or can I use them to grow my vegetables until they are ready to go into the garden for a head start on my growing season?

The LED lights could be used for both purposes.

      • Could you please provide more information on the light pattern. At 12” above the plant tray what is the width of the coverage?

The coverage at 12" is 70x40".  Regarding the light pattern, please check out the images and info docs on the details page.  If you need more detail, just let us know! Thanks!

      • What is the maximum amount lights that can be safely linked together?

You can safely link 7 LED grow lights together.

      • i love these lights. I see someone asked this question before but the "link" does not show up so I am asking the question again ... :) How far away from the top of the plants should this LED light be? Is it different for the different stages of growth? I also looked for the "info docs" on the details page and could not find the "details page." Thank you!

Setting up an ideal growing area for seedlings does not need to be expensive. Direct lighting for your growing seedlings is recommended for 14-16 hours a day. This can done with a simple led light hung around 6 inches above the seed tray. A baker's rack works very well for this.

      • What is the length of the "daisy chain" connection; i.e.) how far apart can the 48" lights be hung?

The daisy chains are 27" long.

When daisy chaining, the 27” cord will be able to reach the light on the next shelving level. These lights are meant to be used on every rack, which is why the daisy chain is only 27”. The daisy chains themselves do not plug into or connect with another daisy chain, only the light.
