If your mainline supply runs between 15–30 PSI — common with gravity-fed tanks, long supply lines, or low-pressure wells — you're already within R-Wide's operating range and can connect directly without a regulator. The regulator is only needed when supply pressure exceeds 30 PSI (most municipal water runs 40–60 PSI).
Not sure what your pressure is? Check your water supply here before ordering.
Connects Sumi R-Wide tubing to a 1" poly drip mainline using a 1" Perma-Loc fitting that pushes onto poly tubing — no clamps, no glue, no tools required. Includes a 1" union for quick disconnect at the bed.
Use this version if your existing irrigation mainline is flexible 1" poly. Best for setups where you may want to reposition beds or break the system down at the end of the season.
Connects Sumi R-Wide tubing to a 1" PVC mainline using 1" slip PVC fittings, which require PVC cement to install. Includes a 1" union so the bed can be disconnected from the glued mainline once the joints have cured.
Use this version for permanent installations and greenhouse plumbing built on rigid 1" PVC.
Sumi R-Wide's mist spray pattern, coverage width, and precipitation rate are all pressure-dependent — running above or below 30 PSI produces uneven distribution across your beds. The 30 PSI regulator version builds the regulator into the connector body and maintains a constant 30 PSI output regardless of incoming line pressure.
Add the regulator if your supply pressure exceeds 30 PSI. Skip it if you've measured supply at 15–30 PSI, or if you've already installed a regulator upstream.
Install at the head of each bed where the R-Wide tubing meets your mainline, downstream of your shutoff valve. The R-Wide tubing connects to the Sumi end with a standard Sumi tube connector (included with R-Wide tubing kits, available separately as an accessory).
For Mark II installations, see the Sumi Garden Hose Connector — Mark II uses different fittings and a 12 PSI regulator.
Due to manufacturing variability, parts may not exactly match photos, but are fully compatible. Mark II and R-Wide components are not interchangeable with other tubing. Images for illustration only.
